Tuen Teen Book Fair Day 2 Highlights: Talk by Doctor-Author Wing Yeuk Ching and Exchanges with Visiting Schools

On March 12, our school’s Book Fair entered its second day with an enthusiastic atmosphere. In addition to a diverse range of book recommendations, a wonderful thematic talk and exchange activities were held, allowing all teachers, students, and guests to immerse themselves in a rich reading atmosphere.

Featured Event: Talk by Doctor-Author Wing Yeuk Ching — “Writing the City’s Medical Record: From Wielding a Scalpel to a Pen” Our school was deeply honoured to invite Mr. Wing Yeuk Ching, who is both a psychiatrist and a youth author, to deliver a keynote speech. Under the theme “Writing the City’s Medical Record: From Wielding a Scalpel to a Pen”, he shared with the students how he strikes a balance between his busy medical duties and literary creation.

  • Inspiring Sharing: During his speech, Mr. Wing mentioned, “Doctors treat the pain of the body, while authors heal the pain of the soul.” This profound realization deeply inspired the teachers and students in the audience, bringing them immense benefit.
  • Close Interaction and Book Signing: A book signing session was specially arranged after the talk. Students eagerly sought signatures with Mr. Wing’s popular works (such as Ironman 1.5 and Kaishakunin) and enthusiastically exchanged creative insights with the author in a harmonious atmosphere.

Heartfelt Thanks to Guests and Parents for Their Strong Support Besides our own teachers and students, our school would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the various external guests and the teachers and students from visiting schools for their presence and guidance. We also thank the parents for their active participation, which added so much colour to this Book Fair. Thank you once again to every participant for your continuous support. We hope that through this event, we can further promote a vibrant reading culture on campus!
