F.5 Liberal Studies Mainland Study Tour
F.5 students and teachers embarked on an exchange and study tour to Humen and Nansha in the Mainland. Our students visited the Opium War Museum, the Guangdong Dongjiang Column Memorial Hall, and the Nansha District Planning Exhibition Hall, where they gained insights into national history and the heroic deeds of those who sacrificed for the country during wars, as well as the progress of China’s modern development.
On the second day, the students conducted on-site inspections at a thermal power plant and a waste recycling center, learning about the country’s energy development and the implementation of environmental protection initiatives. Finally, they visited a local farm, understanding the production process of agricultural products and personally experiencing vegetable packaging. This journey enabled students to deepen their understanding of national history and current development, integrating “experiential learning” with the curriculum to enhance their knowledge.
