The 39th Athletic Meet

The 39th Athletic Meet was held at Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground in Tuen Mun. For the closing ceremony, retired wheelchair badminton athlete Mr. Chan Ho Yuen was invited as the officiating guest. He, together with Principal Kwan Sin Fan from Kiu Kong Wu’s Clansmen Association Wu Si Cheong Memorial School) and Principal Ng Sze Ming from Taoist Ching Chung Primary School (Wu King Estate), witnessed the vibrant sports event of the ‘Tuenteenians’.

In addition to the competitions among the four houses, namely Truth, Modesty, Constancy and Sincerity, the Athletic Meet also included the “Form 6 Graduation 200m Race” and the “Tuen Teen Spirit 600m Race”. Despite the unstable weather, Tuenteenians competed in the wind and rain, which further demonstrated their perseverance. Before the race started, Principal Cheng also encouraged the Form 6 students of this year, stating that teachers would stand with them through thick and thin. The officiating guest Mr. Chan Ho Yuen shared his own experience to encourage the students to face any failures, improve themselves and push their limits.
