Virtual Tour – The travel around the world (Asia)

With the technology of distance conferencing, our students were ‘virtually’ brought to Japan and learnt the Japanese lifestyles and cultures. The local tour guide brought our students to Asakusa where students visited the streets for souvenirs, temples and teahouses. The tour guide also broadcasted live to introduce the souvenirs and interview the shop keepers. He also told students the rituals and customs in a temple, drew divination sticks, demonstrated the Japanese tea ceremony and answered questions raised by our students. Before the virtual tour started, students learnt some simple Japanese and practised tea ceremony, followed by a quiz competition.
