[Beyond the Campus, Landing at HKU] Our Student Representatives Attended the “Whose Intelligence? Students, AI, and the Future of Learning” Forum

Three student representatives from our school—Michael Chan, Scarlett Ng, and Carson Chan—were recently invited to the Rayson Huang Theatre at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) to attend the “Whose Intelligence? Students, AI, and the Future of Learning” forum. The event was co-organized by the Centre for Education Policy at HKU, Ednovators, and FlipEdu.
During the forum, the three students delivered an inspiring presentation to the educational experts, scholars, and public in attendance. They shared their journey of experiencing a paradigm shift: from initially using AI as an auxiliary tool for revision and problem-solving, to later transforming into “commanders” who utilized AI programming to develop the “Beckon Stars” app, an application designed to help the elderly break down intergenerational communication barriers. Finally, they raised profound philosophical reflections on the meaning of education and learner autonomy in the era of AI. The students’ outstanding performance fully demonstrated our school’s fruitful achievements in promoting AI-driven innovative education.
The school would like to express its sincere gratitude to our School Supervisor, Dr. Chan, for taking time out of his busy schedule to attend, as well as to all the parents who came in person to fully support the students. Your applause and encouragement are the greatest motivation for our students to continuously explore the unknown and innovate bravely! Our school will continue to work hand in hand with all sectors to nurture outstanding talents with a future-oriented vision.
