Long Term goals

1. To develop students the ability to conceptualize, inquire, reason and communicate mathematically, and to use mathematics to formulate and solve problems in daily life as well as in mathematical contexts.
2. To develop students a positive attitude towards mathematics and the capability in appreciating the aesthetic nature and cultural aspect of mathematics.
3. To adopt various modes of assessment activities and strategies so as to enhance the teaching and learning processes.
4. To extend the mathematics corner so as to install more mathematics games and models, to hold mini-exhibition, seminar and competition. Through these activities, students’ exposure and interest in learning mathematics can be raised.

5. To reinforce the appropriate use of information technology (IT) in teaching and learning.
6. To develop the reading habit of students by providing them some extensive reading materials.
7. To make use of assessment data to diagnose and evaluate the teaching effectiveness.
8. To elevate teachers’ professional growth in teaching mathematics.
