To broaden students\u2019 horizons and deepen their understanding of Hong Kong\u2019s healthcare sector and career planning, our school organised the  \u201cDSE Career Planning Talk \u2014 Tuen Mun District @ Employment in Hong Kong\u2019s Healthcare Sector and Hospital Practice\u201d on 16 April 2026. The event was organised by the Junior Chamber Outstanding Young Persons Association and SEED Foundation, and co-organised by our school. About 250 S4 and S5 students participated in the programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On that day, we were honoured to welcome several distinguished guests from the medical profession, including  Dr. Chong Shuk Ching, Chairman of the Outstanding Young Persons Association;  Dr. Leung Yu Lung, Vice-Chairman; and  Dr. Kevin Mak, Executive Committee Member of the Association and also a School Manager of our school. We were also pleased to have the support of  Ms. Wong Pui Lam, Founder of SEED Foundation, and Mr. Hui Chung Yin, Vice-Chairman and Project Director, who attended the event in person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the sharing session, the guests spoke in depth and in a lively manner on three main areas: their own educational journeys, career prospects and life planning in Hong Kong\u2019s healthcare sector, and practical hospital work. Drawing on their professional experience, Dr. Chong and Dr. Leung helped students understand the knowledge, attitude and sense of mission required of healthcare professionals. At the same time, they showed that medical work is not only a profession, but also a calling to care for life and serve society. During the moderation and interaction session, Dr. Mak also guided students to further understand how AI can support hospital work, and engaged in a fruitful dialogue with the two guest speakers. The discussion was rich in content and the atmosphere was highly engaging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The talk not only enhanced students\u2019 understanding of Hong Kong\u2019s healthcare sector, but also encouraged them to reflect on their aspirations, abilities and future pathways. Through the sincere and inspiring sharing of the guests, students came to realise that, whether or not they pursue a career in healthcare, they can still live out their values and sense of mission by serving others and contributing to society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
